Your privacy on DuaPrayer
DuaPrayer is a nonprofit community platform where people share duas and say Ameen for each other. We keep as little about you as we can, we never sell it, and we show no adverts.
Duas can be personal
A dua can reveal your faith, your health, or something happening in your family. The law treats information about religious belief and health as especially sensitive. Please share only what you are comfortable making public. Every dua on DuaPrayer can be seen by anyone. You can post without an account.
What we keep
- Your duas, with the date, language and topic. They are public on the site and in its public news feed.
- Your Ameens. If you are signed in, they are linked to your account. If not, a small anonymous cookie (`dua_voter`) stops the same browser counting twice. It holds no name or email.
- Your account, if you create one: your email address, the display name you choose, your feed preferences, and the notifications shown to you on the site.
- Reports. If you report a dua, we record that you reported it.
- Applications. If you apply to volunteer or to run a channel, we keep the details you enter in that form, so the team can review them.
Who helps us run DuaPrayer
We use a small number of services. Each receives only what it needs:

Duas posted here are public, and the site's public feeds can be read by anyone. A service connected to DuaPrayer's Bluesky account republishes duas from those feeds to bsky.app/profile/duaprayer.bsky.social. Please treat anything you post as public everywhere.
How long we keep it
Your duas and your account stay until you ask us to remove them. If you apply to volunteer or to run a channel, we remove your application 12 months after we decide on it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, including your account and your duas. There is no delete button yet, so please email us and we will do it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
